Ada Wilson, our current representative on the school board, is the only candidate who fully understands these critical times. She understands the correct role of the board in the civic oversight of our schools, including the importance of developing and enforcing good policy. She is knowledgeable about the legislative process and understands how legislation, good and bad, will affect public education and student learning outcomes. She is willing to stand up for students and families and state truth to power.

JoDee Sundberg, former alpine school board member

I have worked with Ada Wilson as she has served on both K-12 and higher ed boards. In my experience, she is both passionate and professional. First, she has a passionate understanding that education opens doors for students and improves the economy and our community. Next, she is professional at every turn. She is willing to listen to those both on the board and in the field to find solutions for students, parents, and teachers alike. I am lucky to rub shoulders with Ada Wilson and appreciate her dedicated public service!

Cindy Davis, vice chair, Utah state board of Education

I have had the privilege of working closely with Ada Wilson in a leadership capacity. As we worked together, Ada’s attention to detail and her consideration of those details when making a decision impressed me. She is efficient and consistent, reliable and energetic. People are drawn to her affable and inclusive nature; it is rare to see her without a smile, especially when she is interacting with others. I know Ada to be determined and persistent when faced with a task, whether that task is large or small. I am grateful for my association with Ada Wilson and I wholeheartedly endorse her candidacy for the Alpine School Board.

Cindee Nielsen, Vineyard Resident

I fully support and endorse Ada Wilson as a candidate for the Alpine School District Board. I have known Ada for the past four years working with her as a representative on school community councils and on the Alpine School District Community Council. As I served in four Orem schools, Ada was often in attendance as well. She is a good listener and is well-informed on the successes and needs of each school. She comes prepared to discuss issues within the district, but is respectful of the roles others play.

Serving schools and our community is not a new interest or hobby to Ada. She has spent decades serving, leading, and involving the community in helping students, parents, teachers and administrators have a great school experience.

In a climate of constant change and challenges that can be so political and harsh, Ada serves with kindness, diligence, and with no personal agenda. Ada will do the research to vote for what is best for the students, families and teachers of Orem.

Sherri Wiltbank, Orem community volunteer

It is a pleasure for Joyce and me to recommend Ada Wilson for Seat 7 on the Alpine School Board. Over the past four years, Ada has served as the representative for Seat 5 and she has excelled in her position on the board. Ada possesses many attributes that make her a valued member of the board. Ada is hardworking and intelligent. She is a strong leader and knows the importance of team work. Ada is dependable and totally dedicated to doing all she can for the education of students in Alpine School District. Most importantly, Ada is a person of the highest moral character. She is considerate, honest, sincere, and loyal. She is the kind of person who makes everyone around her better. I would encourage all of you to join us in voting for Ada Wilson.

Joel Gardner, former orem school administrator

& Joyce Gardner

As residents of Orem for over 50 years, we have participated and been involved in educational and civic affairs. Because of this knowledge and experience we feel Ada Wilson is the best candidate for the Alpine School District Board of Education, District 7. We give her our full support.

Ada has immersed herself in serving the educational community of the Alpine School District for over 30 years. She is not running as a single issue candidate and is an advocate for all parents and children. Ada is a “common sense” conservative. She has no hidden agenda nor is she beholden to any special interest groups. She is practical and consistently seeking new ways to improve education for all students. She has been a safeguard of district finances and will continue to bring fiscal stability to Alpine District. Ada is knowledgeable and reliable, so it will allow her to be effective immediately with current school board issues.

We encourage you to join us and vote for Ada Wilson for the Alpine School Board.

We have known Ada Wilson for many years in several different capacities. She is principled, intelligent and a serious data driven researcher. Ada is a wise woman who exemplifies good judgement. We trust Ada's priorities and know that she puts the welfare of children first. We feel so fortunate to have someone of Ada's ability, tenacity and integrity representing us on the Alpine School Board.

Ken & Kristy Sorber, Orem elementary Area

It is my honor to endorse Ada Wilson for school board with Alpine School District. I have served as PTA President twice, as SCC chair and as a member of school community council at four different schools over the last 15 years.

I have known Ada through all of that time. We served side by side on the school community council at Orem Elementary. She’s worked in PTA, SCC and numerous other volunteer in-school positions for years before ever running for the board.

As a board member, she has advocated for teachers and students pushing for our district schools to be the very best. She continues to be engaged and in schools frequenting SCC meetings and other school programs. Ada is always reachable and responds quickly to my texts, phones, messages, etc.

As we approach the primary election, I submit that Ada Wilson has the best experience and vision for Alpine School District and she will best represent the interests of students and their families in Orem. Let’s vote for the best! Vote Ada Wilson for Alpine School District school board!
